Born in Havana, Cuba and raised in Miami, Andres brings 15 years of experience in the non-profit sector to The Children’s Movement of Florida. His primary responsibilities include assisting board chair David Lawrence Jr. and managing the organization’s daily administrative needs.
He joined The Movement in 2010 when it was launched. He also worked with Lawrence at The Early Childhood Initiative Foundation, which preceded The Movement.
Previously, Andres worked for the Alliance for Human Services and the YWCA.
Andres grew up in East Little Havana and graduated from Miami High School. He earned an Associate in Arts degree in Business Administration at Miami Dade College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology/Network Engineering from Barry University. He graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into the Alpha Chi National Honor Society.
In his spare time Andres enjoys reading, music and films, exploring restaurants (especially Chinese), and visiting museums and cultural events.
He and his wife, Agnieszka Nicole, live in Miami.
