Kyle was born and raised in Miami, FL. He attended the same K-12 Somerset Academy, later transitioning to Somerset Arts Conservatory his freshman year of high school. Although he received an amazing education from Somerset Arts Conservatory, he noticed a lot of inequities between the honor students and the students on the on-level track. He realized that the issue surpassed his small high school and extended throughout the United States, this made him passionate about educational equity and leadership.
Kyle is now a rising senior at William and Mary University where he is studying Psychology and History.
During the winter of 2018, Kyle became a volunteer at the Children’s Movement of Florida and worked with the 100 Mayors Campaign. This work inspired him to apply for Breakthrough Collaborative Miami and in the summer of 2019, Kyle taught seventh grade Social Studies.
At the College, Kyle is the student government vice president. His role consists of creating and managing a budget, supporting diversity initiatives, working on the progression of mental wellness and promoting diversity within the College’s curriculum. In his free time, Kyle is singing with his a cappella group DoubleTake or doing a backflip with Club Gymnastics.
