Bio
Daniela Borroto is the Director of Policy at The Children’s Movement of Florida, where she leads the organization’s policy strategy and execution. In this role, she advances solutions that strengthen early childhood systems and improve outcomes for children and families across Florida.
Before joining The Movement, Daniela served as the Manager of Responsive Support and Network Engagement at the Alliance for Early Success. There, she managed a national network of policy and operations experts who support state advocates through long-term strategic projects and rapid-response technical assistance. Additionally, from 2023 to 2024, she completed a year-long Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) deployment as a Policy and Strategy Analyst with the Administration for Children and Families, contributing to federal early childhood policy and systems work.
Daniela is excited to return to the Movement, where she previously served as the Northern Region Outreach and Engagement Coordinator. In that role, she advocated at the state level on behalf of local community partners focused on birth-to-five issues. She has extensive experience building cross-sector support for early childhood initiatives and was instrumental in launching the Movement’s Bosses for Babies initiative, working with business and chamber leaders statewide.
A Miami native and proud graduate of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Daniela is bilingual and a first-generation American whose background informs her commitment to strengthening the early childhood system and ensuring all children and families have equitable opportunities to thrive. She is also an active member and volunteer with the Junior League of Miami.
Daniela holds a bachelor’s degree in public policy and a master’s degree in education policy and evaluation from Florida State University.
She lives in Miami with her husband and enjoys reading, traveling, and needlepoint.
