This is a community call for Floridians interested in supporting our youngest learners and the adults who help them thrive. It’s an opportunity to share successes and best practices aligned to the recommendations in Florida’s Early Learning Roadmap, and to collaborate for continued progress.

Over the last 18 months, The Future Project has worked to imagine a new early learning future in Florida. After traveling throughout the state hosting more than 65 listening and feedback sessions engaging 850+ Floridians, our Steering Committee (made up of 70% parents and educators) worked collaboratively to create an actionable roadmap for the future of early learning policy and funding in our state.

For the second consecutive year, we held our statewide virtual ReadingPals Conference & Celebration!  We heard from experts in early literacy, mentoring, and social-emotional development. We discussed concepts, skills, and insights that can be applied as volunteers, parents/caregivers, teachers, and supporters.

Our topics included grade-level reading efforts in Florida, developing emotional intelligence as students and mentors, and how to use the Science of Reading to improve early literacy skills.
