Florida's Parent Leadership Network

Parents at the Center of Change

The Florida Parent Leadership Network is a statewide fellowship that equips parents and caregivers with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be powerful advocates for young children and families.

Built with parents and for parents, this program creates space for families’ voices to be heard where decisions are made—ensuring that those most impacted by early childhood policies help shape them.

Why It Matters

When parents are supported and connected, communities thrive. The Parent Leadership Network invests in parents as partners and changemakers, recognizing that real progress for children begins with the adults who care for them.

Through this network, parents and caregivers:

  • Strengthen leadership and advocacy skills
  • Learn how early childhood systems and policies work
  • Connect with other parent leaders across Florida
  • Use their stories to drive positive change for children and families

How It Works

Each year, a small group of Florida parents and caregivers participates in a cohort-based fellowship that blends in-person and virtual learning. Participants build relationships, gain tools for effective advocacy, and join a growing statewide community of parent leaders who stay connected long after the program ends.

All travel, meals, and child care for in-person activities are covered by The Children’s Movement of Florida.
