Bio
Ian is an M.A. in Political Science student at Florida Atlantic University, where he also received his B.A. degree in Political Science in May of 2024. With a focus on primarily qualitative research, Ian is interested in exploring how social and economic challenges affect diverse communities, including faith-based groups, racial and ethnic minorities, and lower-income populations. His passion for early childhood development and advocacy began as a Clinical Administrative Assistant for a speech therapy practice, where he assisted in clinical operations for children and adults with neurodivergent, developmental, and speech delays. He furthered his commitment to advocacy-based practices through involvement with the Youth Action Fund’s (YAF) Changemaker Bootcamp in November 2024, which introduced him to the Florida Legislature, organized work, and emphasized the importance of collective action and narrative messaging. In Spring 2025, he participated in Florida Team Enough’s Youth Advocacy Training Program, where he learned about legislative advocacy on issues related to public safety.
Ian lives in Boca Raton and enjoys walking in local state parks, traveling to different countries, collecting LEGO sets, and playing video games in his spare time.
