Dr. Jane Katcher is a pediatric radiologist, now retired from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
Her philanthropic involvements include National Public Radio, the Museum for African Art in New York and the Yale University Art Gallery. Dr. Katcher also has published two major books of essays – “Expressions of Innocence and Eloquence” – exploring her Americana and folk art collections.
In 1999, she and her husband, Gerald Katcher, were co-founders with David Lawrence Jr. of The Early Childhood Initiative Foundation, now The Children’s Movement of Florida.
The Katchers, who have three daughters, live in Coconut Grove. They joined the United Way of Miami-Dade’s Million Dollar Round Table in 2003.
