Bosses for Babies

How This Boss Makes an Impact for Children in Florida

Girl Scouts of Tropical Florida (GSTF) is committed to creating a family-friendly work environment that truly supports our staff and their families. They offer generous PTO policies for both hourly and salaried employees, including paid family leave. For breastfeeding mothers, their policies provide for accommodations with reasonable break time. Additionally, they offer personal leaves of absence with pay for up to 8 weeks per calendar year, allowing team members to manage personal or medical needs while maintaining their employment.

On a case-by-case basis, they also offer hybrid work options that allow parents the flexibility to take time during the day to address family needs. As a result of the GSTF’s policies and the family-friendly environment they create, employee retention is high, proving that these policies have a tangible effect on the success of the organization. By supporting team members, GSTF believes they are ultimately helping to foster a community that empowers girls and makes the world a better place.
