Dr. Mehra is a double board-certified psychiatrist practicing for more than 30 years. His true passion is the emotional well-being of children. He has worked and volunteered both in the local and statewide foster care system. He has received numerous awards for his tireless efforts. Dr. Mehra's enduring commitment reflects his vast experience working with both children and adults, and he believes that quality early learning experiences can only occur when a child feels emotionally safe, secure, and valued. These experiences determine academic and social achievement, directly correlating with required work environment skills. Workforce readiness is of paramount importance for many business leaders in the state of Florida. He strongly believes that readiness for work is rooted in the ages of zero to five.
 

Bio

Rahul N. Mehra, M.D. is the creator and founder of Emotional Vaccines®, a library of videos available through subscription and licensing. The proactive strategy behind the video content is disruptive to the existing mental health ecosystem. By training, Dr. Mehra is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatry. He has been in practice for over 30 years in the Tampa Bay area and Upstate South Carolina. Twenty-five of those thirty years were spent serving children in the foster care system. Dr. Mehra is the former medical director of Gracepoint Wellness, Directions for Living (Pinellas), Joshua House, and still the Medical Director for the Children’s Home Network in Tampa. He has created and launched Parenting Pod powered by Emotional Vaccines®- an innovative resource designed for early learning centers and school systems. He has also experience in executive physician leadership roles and as a consultant to the NFL, NFL Players Association, XFL, and Major League Baseball. Dr. Mehra has been recognized for his heartfelt service to others with numerous community-generated accolades. He is married to his wife Cathy and has an affection for shrimp and grits.
