Bosses for Babies

How This Boss Makes an Impact for Children in Florida

At the Greater Naples Chamber, family comes first.  The chamber recognizes that the members of their team can be at their best for their members, one another, and the organization when they can be fully focused on the opportunity in front of them.  This is best accomplished when they have the support and flexibility necessary to ensure that their loved ones are cared for and supported.

GNC provides role-dependent flexibility, including but not limited to working from home and staggered scheduling. Staff members are encouraged to be involved in their children’s activities the same way they are encouraged to take part in community activities — with flexible office hours to accommodate.

As a community not-for-profit, they are not well-positioned to compete with private market compensation packages.  The flexibility and family friendly practices, coupled with the deeply impactful and rewarding work they do, contributes loyalty from team members and longevity of employees.  They look forward to finding additional ways to improve upon these practices and urge their members and community businesses to consider doing the same.
